What your agent can do

With the VidLab skill and your key, your agent uses the same API you do. Each line below is one or two calls it makes for you; nothing here needs a dashboard.

Ask forWhat it doesCalls
ImagesPicks an image model, prices it, makes one or more images, saves them.POST /v1/generations
Video from text or a picturePicks a video model, sends your prompt and first frame, polls until done.POST /v1/uploads, POST /v1/generations
Voice-overs and musicText to speech, dialogue and songs on the audio models.POST /v1/generations
Lip sync and upscalesSends your clip and sound, priced on their real length.POST /v1/uploads, POST /v1/generations
A finished adRuns one of our formats: answers its questions with you, asks you to approve the price, returns the video.POST /v1/formats/{format_id}/runs
Prices and optionsLists models for a task, reads their options, prices a request. Free.GET /v1/models, POST /v1/estimate
Your balanceSays what you can spend before a large job. Free.GET /v1/balance
Your historyLists your recent generations and their results. Free.GET /v1/generations
VidLab in your appAdds a small server-side client and moves your app's generation calls to VidLab, keeping your models.the same calls, in your code

How it keeps your money safe

  • Price first. It prices the exact request (POST /v1/generations/quote, free, nothing held) and tells you before it runs anything paid. It asks when the price is more than you would expect.
  • A cap on every run. It sends max_cost_usd, so no route dearer than your price can run it.
  • No double charges. Every run carries an Idempotency-Key; a retry after a network error returns the same job.
  • Failures are free. A generation that fails costs $0.00; the agent reads why and tells you.

What it will not do

  • Invent a model id, an option or a price: they come from the live model list.
  • Print your key, write it into a file or a command, or ask you to paste it.
  • Spend without telling you the price first.

Example requests

Use VidLab to make three 1:1 product shots of a red sneaker on white. Tell me the price first.
Make a 5 second 9:16 video from ./product.png with VidLab: a slow push-in, soft light. Cap it at $1.
Turn this script into a voice-over with VidLab and save it as voiceover.mp3: "Asleep in 20 minutes. No grogginess."
Add VidLab to this app. Move our current image generation over to it and run one test call when I say so.
